Marrakech hotels and villas with babysitting are not one product. Some hotels confirm an in room sitter, some only run a kids club, and some appear in directories without confirming the service at all. The official pages we checked show a small group with a real service: Four Seasons, Mövenpick, Le Naoura, Fairmont, La Mamounia and Mandarin Oriental. Abalya is the villa option we could verify. This guide separates what is confirmed from what is not.
Karim isn’t a parent. This guide combines his knowledge of Morocco with official hotel pages, villa pages, agency pages and the directories we checked in October 2026. It’s part of our where to stay in Marrakech with kids coverage. Read more about Karim.
The four childcare models
The word “babysitting” covers four different products. The price, the setting and the level of supervision change with each one.
Hotel sitter in the room. One person cares for your child in your room or suite. This is the best fit for a baby, an evening out or a child who does not settle in a group. The sitter may be a hotel employee or an agency the hotel works with. Ask which one.
Hotel kids club. A supervised group program with an age band, a room or outdoor area and a schedule. It is not babysitting. It usually runs in the day, not at night. The kids club hotels guide compares the clubs, ages and hours.
Villa nanny. A nanny employed by the villa company or an outside agency. The nanny may work in the villa, by the pool or on an evening out. A villa can be easier for a larger family or a longer stay, but the nanny is not automatic.
External agency. You book the sitter directly. The hotel may allow it, charge a visitor fee or ask the sitter to show ID. Some hotels prefer their own staff. Confirm the rule before you book the agency.
Riads are a separate case. Many do not offer babysitting, and some have age rules. The family riads guide covers the policies.
A family pool is not childcare. You supervise. Do not count it as a babysitting service.
What we verified
We checked official pages, not directory entries. This table shows the properties whose own pages confirm a service.
| Property | Service confirmed | Ages and hours | What to confirm |
|---|---|---|---|
| Four Seasons | Babysitting and kids club | Kids club 4 to 12. Babysitting hours and rate not published. | Sitter age, setting, fee and notice. |
| Mövenpick | Babysitting and kids club | Kids club 4 to 12. Hours and rate not published. | Sitter age, evening cover and fee. |
| Le Naoura | Babysitters on request and free kids club | Club 10am to 6pm. Babysitting age and rate not published. | Sitter age, evening cover and fee. |
| Fairmont Royal Palm | Babysitting and kids club | Babysitting needs 24 hours notice. Club 9am to 6pm. Age and rate not published. | Sitter age, evening cover and fee. |
| La Mamounia | Babysitting, no kids club | Cots free under 2. Extra bed for 2 to 12 at 950 MAD per night. 50% child discount for 4 to 12. | Sitter age, hours and fee. |

| Abalya | Villa babysitter | 24/7 care. Age and rate not published. | Nanny employer, hours and fee. |
The table is the short version. The sections below explain what each property publishes and what it leaves out.
Hotels that confirm babysitting
Four Seasons Resort Marrakech
The official family page lists a kids club for ages 4 to 12, babysitting services, cribs or rollaway beds, childproofing, infant bathtubs and high chairs. That is a full family setup, not just a babysitting line. The page does not publish a babysitting rate or the age range for the sitter.
Ask whether the sitter is a hotel employee or an agency, whether the care is in the room, and how much notice the hotel needs. The kids club is a daytime product, so do not assume it covers the evening.

Mövenpick Hotel Mansour Eddahbi Marrakech
Mövenpick runs a kids club for ages 4 to 12 with more than 25 supervised activities. The official page says babysitting is available. The hotel is in Hivernage, which is central for the medina, Gueliz and the airport road.
The page does not publish the babysitting hours, the sitter age range or the fee. Ask for those in writing. The kids club is the daytime option, not an evening sitter.

Hotel Barrière Le Naoura
Le Naoura says babysitters are available on request. The Diwi & Co kids club runs from 10am to 6pm and is free for hotel guests. The hotel is in Bab Doukkala, on the edge of the medina.
The page does not publish the babysitting age range or rate. Ask whether the sitter can cover the evening, whether the hotel needs notice, and whether the sitter is a hotel employee or an agency.
Fairmont Royal Palm Marrakech
Fairmont says babysitters are available with 24 hours notice at the concierge desk. The kids club is open from 9am to 6pm. The resort is in the Palmeraie, away from the medina.
The official page does not publish the sitter age range or the fee. Ask about the evening rate, the cancellation policy and whether the sitter can stay in the room. The 24 hour notice is the key detail for a last minute booking.

La Mamounia
La Mamounia is the clearest example of a hotel that offers babysitting without a kids club. The official FAQ says there is no kids club, but the hotel can organise a babysitting service. It also lists a free cot for children under 2, an extra bed for ages 2 to 12 at 950 MAD per night, a 50% child discount for ages 4 to 12, and children of all ages are welcome with an adult.
The FAQ does not publish the babysitting age range, hours or rate. Ask those questions before you book. The extra bed and child discount are stay costs, not babysitting costs.
Mandarin Oriental Marrakech
The official family guide confirms family suites and villas, children’s menus, babysitting and a kids club built like a kasbah. The club includes activities, workshops, a private farm and cooking classes with the chef.
The guide does not publish the babysitting age range, the club age band, the hours or the fee. Ask for the details in writing. The family suites and villas make this a strong option for a longer stay.
Villas with a nanny
Abalya
Abalya’s official family stay page confirms a babysitter service. The page says the team can provide care for an evening out or 24/7, with age appropriate activities in a safe environment. The villas also include baby equipment.
The page does not publish the babysitting rate, the nanny’s age range or whether the nanny is employed by Abalya or an agency. Ask who employs the nanny, whether the nanny stays in the villa, whether the nanny is shared with another family and what the hourly or daily rate includes.
Villa companies and private owners vary. If you book a villa that is not Abalya, ask the same questions. Do not assume a villa with a pool and a cot also has a nanny.
What we could not confirm
Barceló Palmeraie is the clearest example of a kids club that is not a confirmed babysitting service. The official Barceló page confirms a kids club and miniclub. It does not confirm babysitting. A third party family travel page lists babysitting for ages 0 to 11, but that is not the hotel’s own page.
The directory lists also include hotels that we did not put in the confirmed table. A directory entry is a lead, not proof. If a hotel interests you, ask the property directly and get the answer in writing.
External agencies
Two local agencies publish hotel, riad and villa care. Babysitter Marrakech says its nannies care for children in the hotel room, riad or private villa, and can stay by the pool or at dinner. Nounou Marrakech describes hotel babysitters, care in the accommodation, flexible schedules, vetted sitters and age appropriate activities.
These agencies are independent of the hotels. Ask the hotel whether it allows an external sitter, whether there is a visitor fee, and whether the sitter needs to show ID at reception. Ask the agency for the sitter’s experience, languages, first aid training and emergency contact.
Do not assume the hotel will supervise an external sitter. The agency is responsible for the sitter, and you are responsible for the booking terms.
What to ask before you book
- Is the sitter a hotel employee or an outside agency?
- What ages and experience does the sitter have?
- What languages does the sitter speak?
- Will the care happen in the room or in a public area?
- What hours are covered, and is there a minimum booking?
- What is the hourly rate, transport fee and cancellation policy?
- Does the sitter have a background check and first aid training?
- What is the emergency protocol, and who is the contact?
- Can the sitter give medicine? Ask the property and follow its policy.
- Does the hotel allow an external nanny, and is there a fee?
- For a villa, is the nanny employed by the villa or an agency?
- Is the nanny shared with another family, and what hours are included?
- Can you meet the sitter before the booking?
The answers matter more than the label. A hotel that says “babysitting available” but cannot name the age range, the setting or the fee is not giving you a service you can plan around.
Cost and booking
No property publishes a full babysitting rate card that we could compare. The room rate does not include babysitting unless the property says so. La Mamounia’s extra bed and child discount are stay costs, not babysitting costs.
Ask for a written quote with the hourly rate, the minimum hours, the transport fee, the late night fee and the cancellation terms. Ask whether the rate changes at night or on a holiday. The Trip.com links on this page are for room availability, not for the sitter.
The where to stay archive covers the areas and property types. Use it to choose the area first, then confirm the childcare for the property you like.
Decision table by age and need
| Need | Best fit | What to confirm |
|---|---|---|
| Baby, evening out | Hotel sitter in the room or an external agency | Sitter experience with babies, cot, feeding, emergency plan. |
| Toddler, evening out | Hotel sitter, or a kids club if the age and evening hours fit | Age band, dinner, bedtime and pickup time. |
| School age, daytime | Kids club or villa nanny | Activities, staff ratio, lunch and sign in and out. |
| Teen | Kids club or teen program, or independent time | Age band, supervision and curfew. |
| Larger family or longer stay | Villa with a nanny | Nanny employer, private or shared care, hours and fee. |

FAQ
Do Marrakech hotels provide babysitting?
Some do, but it is not standard. Four Seasons, Mövenpick, Le Naoura, Fairmont, La Mamounia and Mandarin Oriental confirm a babysitting service on their official pages. Others only publish a kids club.
Is a kids club the same as babysitting?
No. A kids club is a supervised group program with an age band and a daytime schedule. Babysitting is one person who cares for your child, usually in the room or with the family.
Can I hire an external nanny in Marrakech?
Sometimes. Some hotels allow an external sitter, some charge a visitor fee and some prefer their own staff. Ask the hotel before you book the agency.
What does babysitting cost in Marrakech?
Rates vary by property, hours and sitter. No property we checked publishes a full rate card. Ask for a written quote with the hourly rate, minimum hours, transport fee and cancellation terms.
Can I book a sitter for a baby?
Some properties can arrange it, but ask about the sitter experience with babies, the age range and the emergency plan. Do not assume a kids club accepts a baby.
Are villas better for babysitting?
A villa with a nanny can be easier for a larger family or a longer stay. Confirm who employs the nanny, whether the care is private or shared, the hours and the fee.
